Uncle Malcolm came to call
I’ve got a lot of uncles, one in every port, you might say and I love every one of them. Without them, I wouldn’t have managed to get the new four foot Nikon telephoto lense for my D70s, essential for my stalking hobby.
A girl can’t help but have her favourites though and Uncle Malcolm is one of mine. I met him during my first year in England, whilst I was in the employ of Dwight Davis-Penderton.
Whilst many of Dwight’s other friends treated me disdainfully as a servant, Uncle Malcolm saw me as a real person. He took the time to know me completely, we spent hours chatting, me sat on his knee and playing with his badger.
Uncle Malcolm and his shhexy badger, Alice
I lost contact with Malcolm when he was implicated in the police persecution investigation into Clicky’s activities. But last week I got a phonecall out of the blue, it was Malcolm! He’d finally been released and was desperate to see me.
He came over last night, I cooked him his favourite dinner and we caught up on all that lost time.
I was exceptionally pleased that he had his badger, Alice, with him. The two were inseparable and the thought of young Alice alone whilst Malcolm languished in prison had cause much tossing and turning in my bed.
But they were the same as ever, the time apart had just strengthened their touching bond.
Ah, there is little better than the company of old friends. I’ll be seeing Malcolm again next week, he wants to take me shoe shopping, a little treat for his favourite girl!
Yay! I love shoes, especially boots.

I think Alice might be a raccoon.

Don’t be silly, she’s clearly a badger!
